Janakpurdham waterlogged



JANAKPURDHAM: Janakpurdham has been waterlogged due to incessant rain for the last two days.

Most of the houses are inundated in Janakpur sub-metropolis-10. Deputy mayor of the sub-metropolis, Kishori Saha shared entire settlement has been submerged in a lack of an appropriate outlet system.

Locals are facing trouble after water entered the majority of houses. The inundation has been a recurring problem when there was no systematic outlet in place.

Due to torrential rainfall, most of the government office premises in Janakpurdham are waterlogged.

Government offices including District Administration Office, District Police, Internal Revenue and postal office are besieged with water.
Trade and business has also been hit hard with the market area under water. However, no human casualty has been reported so far in the Madhes province, informed spokesperson at Madhes Province Police Office Janakpurdham, SP Tul Bahadur Karki.

Meanwhile, Dhanusha District Police Office has cautioned the locals residing along the river banks to take safety measures in view of flooding.
