Landslides obstruct Mid-Hill Highway and Baglung-Myagdi road



KATHMANDU: Two major highways in Baglung have been blocked due to incessant rainfall.

The Galkotbath-Burtibang section of the Mid-Hill Pushpalal Highway, and the road from Baglung to Myagdi have been obstructed due to landslides.

According to Indra Bahadur Rana, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Baglung, the road was blocked due to landslide in Turture of Galkot Municipality and Dhorpatan Municipality.

The rains have also damaged roads in Galkot Municipality-1, Dudilabhati and 2 Narethanti areas.

Similarly, the main road connecting Baglung to Myagdi district has also been blocked by landslides.

The road has been blocked due to landslide near Dammarekhola on the border of Baglung Municipality-4 and Beni Municipality-1 of Myagdi.
