KATHMANDU: Nijgadh International Airport has figured in the government budget for the fiscal year 2022/23 AD.

Last week, the Supreme Court had directed to stop all works related to construction of Nijgadh International Airport, saying that the airport should not be built at all.

However, presenting the annual budget of the fiscal year in the joint sitting of both the houses of the federal parliament on Sunday, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma said that the budget for construction of Nijgadh International Airport was allocated.
