KATHMANDU: Two helicopters have been mobilized to search for Tara Air’s aircraft that went missing on Sunday morning.

A Tara Air aircraft flying from Pokhara to Jomsom in Mustang lost contact somewhere near Lete of Mustang, it is learned.

According to Chief District Officer of Kaski, Jay Narayan Acharya, a helicopter of the Nepal Army and one private company have been mobilized.

A Nepal Army helicopter has been sent from Kathmandu while a Fishtail Air helicopter from Mustang has been mobilized for the search.

According to Pokhara Airport Information Officer Devraj Subedi, the aircraft with 22 people on board lost contact on Sunday morning.

The plane carrying 19 passengers, including 3 crew members, left Pokhara at 9:55 in the morning.
