Trauma center comes into operation at CMC



CHITWAN: A well-equipped trauma center has come into operation at Chitwan Medical College Teaching Hospital.

The center has come into operation in a way to provide round the clock service.

Hospital’s Director Dr Dayaram Lamsal said a separate trauma center has been run to emphatically provide treatment to the injured people. “With the establishment and operation of centre, the trauma patients would receive treatment with emphasis. The center was established so as to provide attentive care to the wounded patients”, he added.

Dr Basanta Gauli, ICU specialist at the hospital, shared that service delivery has started after completing all basic standards.

The trauma center has an emergency ward, trauma intensive care unit, trauma surgery ward, trauma post-op and trauma ward.

All the services required for accidental cases are available within the trauma center, Dr Lamsal informed.
