17.7 mln ballot papers of required 19.4 mln printed so far



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has printed 17.7 million ballot papers so far.

Of the total 19.4 ballot papers required, the remaining will be printed within a few days, according to the EC.

The EC at a regular press meet said that the printed ballot papers would suffice the need of 72 districts.

Meanwhile, the EC has started dispatching all the printed ballot papers voting papers were distributed to 33 districts by Thursday.

The EC has also urged the government to announce a holiday for the local level Election Day, May 13, to ensure smooth voting process.
