NC decides to form electoral alliances based on local circumstances and needs



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has made a formal decision to form electoral alliances based on local situations and needs.

A meeting of the Central Working Committee (CWC) held on Tuesday decided to this effect.

The NC officially decided to coordinate with the coalition partners CPN-Maoist Center, CPN-Unified Socialist, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), and Rastriya Janamorcha at the local levels for the upcoming May 13 election.

The party also appointed Purna Bahadur Khadka as the coordinator of the Local Level Election Mobilization Central Committee in view of local-level elections. According to NC Spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat, party President Sher Bahadur Deuba will appoint additional members to the committee.

Similarly, the party also appointed Spokesperson Mahat as the coordinator of the Election Publicity Campaign Committee for local level elections.
