Ready to face any election anytime: Unified Socialist Chair Nepal



KATHMANDU: CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has said his party did not fear the election and is ready to face any election anytime.

Speaking at a program organized by the party in Kathmandu on Saturday, he said, “We are not worried about the election. We are ready to face the election, whichever it is, regardless of when it is held. We are ready if it is held in April or May or June,” said Chairman Nepal. “We are ready in both cases: either local level election being held first or the central election. We are not scared of the election.”

Stating that he has already conveyed to coalition partners that he would agree to any date picked by them, he clarified that there was no need to doubt his intention. He also said that it would be appropriate to hold the election within six months bearing in mind the last election date i.e. September 18, 2017.

He also reiterated that CPN-UML Chair KP Oli’s efforts to break the coalition would render no fruit. He added that all the leaders of the Nepali Congress had expressed their common commitment to maintaining this alliance till the election in the coalition’s meeting held in Baluwatar today morning.
