NMA condemns attack on Medical Education Commission VC Giri



Kathmandu: The Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has expressed its concern over the the attack on the Vice-Chairman of the Medical Education Commission (MEC), Prof. Dr. Krishna Giri.

Issuing a statement in Kathmandu on Saturday, NMA General Secretary Dr. Badri Rijal condemned the assault on Dr. Giri’s vehicle by an unknown group.

Dr. Rijal urged the government to take strict action against those involved in the attack.

“The Nepal Medical Association strongly urges the Government of Nepal and the local security agencies to immediately identify the person or group involved in the deadly attack targeting the doctor and engaged in such inhumane activities,” he said in the statement.
