Ruling coalition meeting called for power sharing settlement postponed



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the ruling coalition called, on Wednesday, for the allocation of ministries has been postponed.

According to CPN-Maoist Center sources, the meeting was postponed due to lack of preparation.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ met CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, United Samajwadi Party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and Janata Samajwadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav separately on Wednesday morning.

According to a leader, the initial blueprint for the ministry allocation has been prepared by the leaders.

Although UML, the largest party in the coalition has claimed for 12 ministries, it is likely to get only 10.

UML Vice-Chairman Bishnu Poudel has been appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; UML is still to finalize the list of ministers.

Similarly, Maoist Center, which has claimed for 7 ministries, is likely get 5.
Maoist Center Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha has been appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.
