Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina congratulates PM Dahal



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has congratulated newly-appointed Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

“I am delighted to extend my warmest congratulations to you on your election as the Prime Minister of Nepal, which reflects the trust and confidence reposed in your able and visionary leadership by the people of Nepal,” the Bangladesh premier wrote in a congratulatory message she sent to the new Nepali premier on December 27, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

She said “I believe your long experience will lead Nepal to an upper plateau of prosperity.”

The Bangladesh Prime Minister said, “I look forward to working closely with you to strengthen our multifaceted relationship for the mutual benefit of the two people.”

She added that, “I am confident that during your term in office, the excellent bilateral relations we enjoy will further widen and deepen in all the areas of common interest and potential sectors of collaboration, particularly connectivity, trade, tourism, power, and people-to-people contacts.”

The Premier also invited her Nepali counterpart to visit Bangladesh at his earliest convenience time.

She expressed her best wishes for his good health, long life, and happiness, and for the friendly people of Nepal- the continued peace, progress, and prosperity.
