NC leader Ram Chandra Poudel seeks Madhav Nepal’s support for premiership



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel held talks with Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and urged the latter to support him to become the country’s prime minister.

Poudel reached Nepal’s Koteswor-based residence on Monday morning and sought his support for the premiership.

Leader Nepal, meanwhile, emphasized on the need to maintain the current ruling alliance.

“Since you have also taken the pain to forge the five-party coalition, it’s is obvious that you, too, can stake claim for the top post. I am positive about your aspiraction to become the PM,” a source quoted Chairman Nepal as telling Poudel.
