Dengue claims four lives in a day, more than 27 thousand infected so far

Dengue spreads in all districts except Mustang



KATHMANDU: Four people have died due to dengue infection in one day and the number of infected has exceeded 27 thousand by Wednesday, Ministry of Health said.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, four people died of dengue in the last 24 hours. With this, the death toll from dengue has reached 36. As of Tuesday, the number was 32.

Likewise, the number of dengue infected has also reached 27,569. On Tuesday, the number of infected was 25,543.

So far, dengue patients have been seen in 76 districts of all seven provinces. Mustang district has not got any dengue patients till date.

There have been 21,589 dengue cases in Bagmati province alone.

Similarly, 3,000 people have been diagnosed with dengue in Lumbini, 821 in Far West, 815 in Province 1, 653 in Gandaki, 405 in Madhesh and 236 in Karnali province so far.
