Top leaders, task force members of the ruling coalition ‘finalizing’ seat allocation in Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the top leaders and the task force members of the ruling coalition is undergoing at Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s official residence in Baluwatar to discuss the issues relating to seat allocation.

According to a coalition leader attending the meeting, the leaders are finalizing the seat allocation for the election of the House of Representatives and the provincial assembly.

Earlier, the task force meeting, on Tuesday, chalked out the standards for seat allocation at the province level.

The coalition leaders are under pressure to finalize the seat allocation before Dashain as the Election Commission deadline for the registration of the name for the election is set immediately after Dashain.

Coalition leaders are planning to urge their candidates to register their names at the Election Commission office by October 9.
