NEPSE sheds 33.36 points to close at 1,989.26 on Sunday

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has come down to 1,989.26 points after losing 33.36 points on Sunday, the first trading day of this week.

Likewise, the Sensitive index also fell by 6.05 points and settle 285.70. The market shed 1.65 percent today.

The index that opened at 2,022.36 points, which was also the intraday high, made an intraday low of 1,989.56 and ultimately closed at 1989.26 points.

A total of 6,148,341 shares of 224 companies traded hands via 43,977 transactions, resulting in total turnover of Rs 1.05 billion. Friday’s turnover was of Rs 1.26 billion.

Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited traded the most while Arun Kabeli Power Ltd had the highest turnover.

Radhi Bidyut Company Limited became the highest gainer with 5.90 percent gain.

Ru Ru Jalbidhyut Pariyojana Limited became the biggest loser with 10 percent loss.

All sector indices except Mutual Funds closed red, “Finance Index” lost the highest 3.74 percent while the “Mutual Fund” sector gained by 0.53 percent.
