DDA directs withdrawal of substandard drugs from the market



KATHMANDU: The Department of Drug Administration has given instructions to withdraw the drug Zincomin-DT in the market.

After the medicine was found to be of low quality, the department instructed Nova Genetica Pvt Ltd Khanikhola-7, Naubise, Dhading to recall the medicine.

Issuing a notice on Sunday, DDA directed to recall the medicine and ensured that Zincomin will be returned, not sold and distributed as the medicine did not comply with respect to disintegration test carried out after the market monitoring.

The Department also instructed the medical practitioners not to recommend Nova’s Zincomin.
