Fraudster fleecing 3 abroad job aspirants of Rs 500,000 arrested



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a fraudster who fleeced three persons of Rs 500,000 on pretext of sending them to Slovakia from Kathmandu on Monday.

The arrested has been identified as Indra Bahadur Pachai, 32, a permanent resident of Gulmi residing in Samakhusi. He worked for a manpower agency, Global Village Source Pvt Ltd in Gongabu.

Pachai took Rs 500,000 from three persons, including Roshan Bhandari of Nawalpur, after assuring them that he would send them to Slovakia for agriculture-related employment and their minimum salary would be Rs 130,000.

After swindling the amount from the victims, Pachai had gone out of contact.

The arrest came after the Department of Foreign Employment urged the police to present the fraudster before it after receiving a complaint.

Police have handed over Pachai to Department of Foreign Employment, Buddhanagar.
