KATHMANDU: The monsoon will be more active for three days beginning today, the Meteorological Forecasting Division has said.

According to the Division, the weather throughout the country will remain mostly cloudy on Tuesday.

Likewise, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in many places of the country.

The Division has forecast heavy rainfall at a few places in Province 1, Madesh Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province, and at one or two places in Sudur Pashchim Province.

Likewise, the weather tonight will remain generally to mostly cloudy throughout the country.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in many places of the country with chances of heavy rainfall at a few places in the Province 1, Madesh Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province and at a few places in Karnali Province and Sudur Pashchim Province.

Heavy rains are also expected in Karnali and one or two places in the far western region.

It has been raining heavily in some parts of eastern Nepal since last night.

Meanwhile has issued a special bulletin to take precautions as there is a possibility of landslides, soil erosion and floods due to heavy rains.
