President Bhandari pardons 834 prisoners

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Bhandari has pardoned 834 inmates serving their sentences by various court orders.

On the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, the President has pardoned 271 people, including Khadga Shreng Limbu, 547 people including Nara Bahadur Sawa and 16 people including Umakanta Parajuli have been pardoned who have served their prison sentences and are well behaved.

The sentence of those prisoners has been pardoned on the occasion of the Republic Day.  The Republic Day is being marked tomorrow ( May 29).
