Mother dies, son sustains injuries as they jump off a wall



BHAKTAPUR: A mother has died and her son sustained critical injuries when they jumped off a 50-meter-high wall at Kamerotar in Bhaktapur.

The deceased has been identified as Manmaya Timalsina, 74, of Sundar Haraincha municipality, Morang.

According to police, they were currently staying in a rented room based at Kamerotar in Madhyapurthimi municipality-5, Bhaktapur.

Manmaya died on the spot while Saturam, who sustained critical injuries, was rushed to Madhaypur Hospital for treatment. He is currently undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital.

It is learnt that both the mother and son had been suffering from mental illness and long been taking medicine, informed Metropolitan Police Range Office, Bhaktapur.
