NEPSE declines by 29.98 points and reaches 2542 points Monday

Monday sees a fall in all subgroups

KATHMANDU: The stock market index NEPSE continued the downtrend on Monday, the second trading day of the week as well.

All subgroups witnessed a decline when NEPSE decreased by 29.98 points and reached at 2542.28 points today.

167 companies bore the loss when 21 felt a slight gain and five had their values unchanged Monday.

NEPSE recorded a total turnover of Rs 2.54 billion today.

Banking group declined by 8 points, trade by 60 points, hotels and tourism by 24 points, development banks by 75 points, hydro-power by 24 points, finance by 49 points, non-life insurance by 252 points, manufacturing by 84 points, microfinance by 40 points and life insurance by 342 points.

The value of Rastra Utthan Microfinance and Emerging Nepal increased by 10 percent. Similarly, the value of Nesdo microfinance increased by 6 percent.
