Drinking water facility provided to over 3,000 households



TANAHUN: More than 3,000 households in Tanahu district have been ensured drinking water facility.

A total of 3,354 houses were provided drinking water facility with the initiative of the Gandaki Province government. Chief of Drinking Water and Sanitation Division in the district, Rajendra Prasad Neupane, informed that the facility was ensured under the ‘one house: one tap campaign’.

Eleven drinking water projects were completed in a year alone. Similarly, detailed survey was conducted for 19 such projects.

So far, the district has enjoyed 92.42 percent household’s access to clean drinking water. According to 2078 census, there are 327 thousand populations.
