KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has claimed of forming a five-party coalition government after the election.

Khand, who was defeated in Rupandehi-3 in the recently-held election to the House of Representatives, claimed that a five-party coalition government will be formed for political stability in the country.

“Now a coalition government will be formed. The five-party coalition will have a majority,” he said.

He added that the new government should work to improve the conditions of the citizens.

Home Minister Khand said a meeting of the top leaders of the five parties – Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Unified Socialist Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of Loktantrik Samajbadi Party Mahantha Thakur, and Chairman of Rastriya Janamorcha Chitra Bahadur KC will decide the name for a consensus Prime Minister.
