KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 15.92 points to close at 1,831.05 points on Tuesday (today). The share market has gone green after weeks of losses.
The NEPSE index registered a gain of 0.88 percent today. Similarly, the sensitive index rose by 2.54 points to close at 358.14 points.
The index opened at 1,814.71 points, which was the intraday low. After the market opened, the index went as high as 1,842.05 and ultimately closed at 1,831.05 points.
A total of 2,107,742 unit shares of 229 companies were traded throughout the day, resulting in a turnover of Rs 663 million.
Ridi Power Company Limited was the top stock by turnover today with shares worth Rs 28 million of the stock traded.
Similarly, Sanima Equity Fund was the most-traded stock.
Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the top gainer, with its stock prices going up by 9.97 percent.
Likewise, Garima Debenture, 2085, turned out to be the top loser, with its stock prices falling by 10 percent.
