Maoist Center recommends Shah, Kami for Ministers in Karnali



SURKHET: The parliamentary party of CPN (Maoist Centre) in Karnali Province Assembly has recommended Krishna Shah and Rato Kami as ministers in a bid to make the cabinet inclusive.

Earlier, the High Court, Surkhet, had issued a directive order to make the cabinet inclusive, saying the Karnali provincial government was not inclusive.

A meeting of the CPN (Maoist Centre) Karnali Province Assembly parliamentary party held on Friday sent a recommendation letter to the Chief Minister for the same.

The CPN (Maoist Centre) has recalled Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Bindaman Bista, and Minister for Water Resources and Energy Development, Ganesh Prasad Singh, to appoint new ministers.

According to the party, Shah would be inducted in the cabinet as Minister for Economic Affairs and Kami as Minister for Energy Development.

Chairperson of the parliamentary party, Bimala KC, said Shah and Kami were recommended for the ministers to make the cabinet inclusive.

The decision was taken to send Shah from the women category and Kami from the Dalit category in the cabinet as Maoist is leading the agenda of proportional and inclusive principles. Currently, there are 11 members of the CPN (Maoist Centre) in Karnali province assembly.
