Nepal sees 564 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 564 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 418 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 146 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,454 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,778 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,676 through the Antigen method.

Similarly, Kathmandu valley recorded  276 cases out of which Lalitpur had 41, Bhaktapur 17, and Kathmandu 218 cases..

Currently, there are 3,929 active cases in the country as 202 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One COVID-19 related death was recorded in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbs to 11,960 to date.
