Dr Arzu meets BJP leader Dr. Chauthaiwale in New Delhi



KATHMANDU: First lady and Nepali Congress leader, Arzu Rana Deuba met with India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale, in New Delhi, on Wednesday.

BJP Foreign Affairs Department Chief Dr. Chauthaiwale informed about the meeting with Nepal’s first lady via his official Twitter handle.

“Happy to meet Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba after a gap of six months in New Delhi,” Dr. Chauthaiwale said.

Dr. Arzu is currently in New Delhi for treatment.

The two held talks on bilateral relations between Nepal and India, among other issues.

Earlier, when Dr. Chauthaiwale was on a four-day visit to Kathmandu in August 2021, the first lady had also tied ‘Rakhi’ on his hand at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar.
