NEPSE witnesses double-digit decline again



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) declined by double digits on Monday.

NEPSE, which had risen by 94.92 points on Sunday, dropped by 23.85 points to 1,933.13 points today.

Similarly, the transaction amount also declined on Monday market. A total of Rs 2.04 billion has been traded in the stock market today. A total of Rs 2.19 billion was traded in NEPSE on Sunday.

Shares of 24 companies traded higher than before while 168 declined. Of these, the share prices of the three companies rose sharply. Shares of CYC Nepal Microfinance Institution rose 9.99 percent to Rs 792.50 per share, Nyadi Hydro rose 9.96 percent to Rs 330 per share and Life Insurance Corporation rose 9.15 percent to Rs 1419 per share.

According to NEPSE, the investors of Unnati Sahakari Microfinance lost the most today. Its share price fell by 10 percent.

Similarly, Citizens Investment Trust had the highest turnover today. It had a turnover of over Rs 156.5 million.
