KATHMANDU: Newly elected Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Renu Dahal has been injured in a road accident in Kathmandu on Friday afternoon.
Her vehicle had met with an accident near Staff College, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur.
According to Maoist Center sources, Mayor Dahal’s vehicle (Province 3-01-023 Cha 7318) collided with an electric pole due to a flat tire and Dahal sustained minor head injuries.
Mayor Dahal has been admitted to Sumeru Hospital for treatment.
Although few stiches are put on the head, the Mayor is out of danger, the source informed.
