NEPSE declines by double digits

KATHMANDU: Share market index Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) dropped by double digits on Friday.

The market budget, which has been rising for two consecutive days, has undergone a correction again. The market, which declined by 15.82 points on Friday, stopped falling at 2223.78 points.

However, the transaction amount on Friday has increased as compared to Thursday.

A total of 4,140,665 shares of 223 companies were traded through 21,904 transactions today.

The transaction amount on Friday became Rs 1.29 billion. Apart from hotels and tourism, other sub-groups remained red.

The share price of Ruru Hydropower rose the most by 6.13 percent to Rs 900 on Friday. Share prices of companies including Narayani Development Bank, Upkar Microfinance Financial Institution, United IDI Mardi RB Hydro have also gone up.

On this day, the price of Divyashwori Hydro fell the most by 3.75 percent to Rs 231. Himal Dolakha Hydro, Karnali Development Bank, Upper Tamakoshi and other companies also witnessed remarkable fall.
