 Police recover IRs 2.568 mln along with gold



KATHMANDU: Police have recovered IRs 2,568,000 along with two tolas of gold from two separate places of the Kailali district.

Acting on a tip-off that gold and cash were kept hidden, a squad deployed from District Police Office, Kailali recovered IRs 2.568 million in cash along with two tolas of gold hidden in two different places.

According to DPO, Kailali, the cash and gold were found hidden in a steel box wrapped in a sheet of thin plastics in two different places — Ghodaghodi municipality-8 and Bardagoriya-4, Sundarpur of Kailali.

The cash and gold are said to have been stolen from India, said police.

Police said they are investigating the case and trying to find out who hid the cash and gold.
