Passport Department to open on Sundays

KATHMANDU: The Passport Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said it will provide services on Sundays, too, the public holiday.

As per the government’s policy of making e-passports easily available, the department has stated that it will also provide passport-related services on Sundays, the day of public holidays recently announced by the government.

The government’s policies and programs for the fiscal year 2079/80 also states that electronic passports will be made available in a simple and easy way.

The pressure from service seekers has increased in the department after the government gave public holidays on Sundays as well.

Keeping this pressure in mind, the department has issued notice to open the department from 10 am to 4 pm every Sunday from coming Sunday until further notice.

During this time, those who have applied for a passport can go to the department and get the services related to the passport.
