Government to give public holiday two days a week

The government has decided to grant public leave two days a week. The government has made the decision with effect from May 15. Likewise, the government has also extended the office hours from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.

109 teams acquire permits for climbing peaks this spring season

A total of 109 teams have so far acquired mountaineering expedition permits for this spring season in Nepal.

According to the Department of Tourism, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, the expedition teams have already started leaving for the climb attempts of 25 peaks and mountains.

UML should apologize for not fulfilling its responsibility of running the country for five years: NC General Secretary Thapa

Government decides to promote Aryal as APF AIG

Test flight to be conducted at Gautam Buddha Airport on Thursday

A wide-body aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will conduct a test flight at Gautam Buddha International Airport on Thursday.

On Thursday, a 330 Airbus of NAC will make a test flight, according to Gautam Buddha International Airport officials.

Illegal activities of 22 Chinese nationals in Nepal under lens

The Department of Immigration (DOI) has initiated investigation against 22 Chinese nationals on suspicion of carrying out illegal activities in Nepal.

According to Department’s Immigration Officer, Manohar Thapa, investigation has been initiated against them on suspicion of carrying out other activities while arriving here on business visa.

As many as 3.4 million ballot papers sent to 22 districts

The Election Commission has dispatched printed ballot papers to 22 districts for the local level election-2079 to be held on May 13.

A total of 3.4 million ballot papers have been dispatched in trucks from the office of Janak Education Materials Center Limited in Bhaktapur and sent to 22 districts.
