Government to give public holiday two days a week

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to grant public holidays two days a week.

The government has made the decision with effect from May 15.

Likewise, the government has also extended the office hours from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.

According to Gyanendra Karki, Minister of Information, this provision has been implemented due to increasing prices of petroleum products and increasing pressure on foreign exchange reserves.
