Aryal promoted as APF AIG



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to promote Deputy Inspector General of Armed Police Force Raju Aryal to the post of Additional Inspector General of Police.

A cabinet meeting on Tuesday promoted DIG Aryal to the post.

The recommendation committee had recommend Aryal for promotion on April 18. No complaints had been lodged against the recommendation for Aryal’s promotion.

The promotion has paved the way for Aryal to become the future IGP of Armed Police Force.  DIGs Narayan Datta Paudel, Chandra Prakash Gautam and Banshi Raj Dahal were in the fray for the promotion to the post of AIG.

Aryal and Narayan Datta Paudel had joined the Nepal Police inspectors in 2054 BS.

Aryal will take charge as AIG after incumbent APF AIG Pushpa Ram KC retires on May 1.
