Govt bans import of 10 luxurious items including car



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to put a ban on the import of 10 luxurious goods in view of the deteriorating economic condition of the country.

Issuing a national gazette, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies said it banned the import of luxurious items including color television above 32 inches, cars, motorcycles above 250 CC, mobile sets, Kurkure, Kurmure, liquor, cigarettes, diamond playing cards and toys among others.

This decision will remain effective until mid-July.
