Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi returns home



nEPAKATHMANDU: After a three-day visit to Nepal, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has returned home on Sunday afternoon.

He left for China at around 2:30 pm on Sunday.

Chinese Foreign Minister Yi was seen off at Tribhuvan International Airport by Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Poudyal.

The Chinese Foreign Minister had come to Nepal last Friday via India. Before that he had even reached Kabul.

During his Nepal visit Foreign Minister Yi also hiked in Shivpuri on Saturday.

During the bilateral talks held on Saturday, a nine-point agreement was signed between Nepal and China.

Foreign Minister Yi had a courtesy meeting with President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Before returning home on Sunday, he met leaders of the major political parties including the main opposition party CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli. After Oli, Foreign Minister Yi met CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
