KATHMANDU: CPN-Unified Socialist leader Jhala Nath Khanal has demanded submission of all the documents related to the US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact in the parliament.

Taking part in the general discussion on MCC in House of Represetaives (HoR) Sunday, he said all the agreements signed with MCC and Millennium Challenge Account-Nepal (MCA-Nepal) should be submitted to the parliament for study.

Finance Minister Janardan Sharma put forth the MCC Compact for discussion in parliament today after the ruling coalition decided to ratify MCC with supplementary notes.

Terming MCC agreement a conditional agreement, leader Khanal said that even a single penny should not be taken from any grant that would harm the nation. He was of the view that Nepal itself should materialize such project by utilizing resources within the country.
