Maoist Center, Unified Socialist holding separate meetings to discuss MCC

KATHMANDU: The Maoist Center and the Unified Socialist party are holding what they said “decisive meetings” in a bid to ratify the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) today.

The Maoist Center has convened a meeting of former Standing Committee members on Sunday to discuss MCC.

The meeting will be held at the residence of Maoist Center’s Chairmen Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” in Khumaltar on Sunday morning.

According to a source, the government led by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is set to address the concerns raised in the MCC through the International Interpretive Declaration approach.

Meanwhile, the Unified Socialist party is holding a meeting of its Secretariat today itself.
