Maoist Center decides to appoint Narayan Kaji as Deputy PM

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Maoist Center held on Monday morning decided to appoint the party’s Senior Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha as Deputy Prime Minister.

Party leader Girirajmani Pokharel said that a meeting of the office bearers held at the party’s central office in Parisdanda decided to give Shrestha the responsibility of Deputy Prime Minister.

Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda is taking oath as the Prime Minister at 4 pm today.

He is preparing to form a small-sized cabinet today itself.

Prachanda, who received the support of 169 MPs, was appointed Prime Minister by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Sunday.
