RPP’s Bikram Pandey turns victorious in Chitwan-3

CHITWAN: Bikram Pandey of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has clinched victory in Chitwan-3.

Pandey defeated CPN-Maoist Center candidate Bhojraj Adhikari by a margin of 9,236 votes.

While Pandey got 35,060 votes, his closest rival Adhikari, a candidate of the ruling coalition, got 25,824 votes. Jeeta Baral of the Rastriya Swatantra Party stood third by getting 14,843 votes.

Dinesh Koirala, a rebel from Nepali Congress who presented himself as an independent candidate, came forth by getting 12,275 votes.
