19th Handicraft Trade Fair on December 9-13



KATHMANDU: The 19th Handicraft Trade Fair has been scheduled to take place here on coming December 9-13.

According to the Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal, the exhibition will showcase 150 stalls majorly reflecting filigree, metal crafts and Paubha/Thangka arts.

The event aims to promote the domestic handicraft business and find a better space for them in international market.

The five-day event is supported by the Ministry Industry, Commerce and Supplies and other various business organisations.

The 17th Craft Competition will also be taking place simultaneously.

The competition will be centered on various themes such as woodcraft, sculpture, wax craft, Dhaka craft and natural fibre craft and so on, according to Federation President Prachanda Shakya.
