UML election campaign to start from Darchula on Nov 4

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has decided to begin a nationwide election campaign from November 4.

According to the party, UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli will inaugurate the campaign from remote Darchula district.

The Election Commission is holding the election for the House of Representatives and Province Assemblies on November 20.

According to UML Secretary Dr Bhishma Adhikari, the party will hold mass meets at 42 places across the country. “Our election campaign will begin from Darchula. Party Chairman Oli will address most of the mass meetings,” he added.

The party has decided to make ‘nationalism’ its main agenda of the election. As the Oli-led government had incorporated Lipulek and Limpiyadhuar into Nepal’s map, the party has been presenting itself as a staunch nationalist.

According to Adhikari, Oli will address three mass meetings on November 4 – in Darchula, Baitadi and Kanchanpur.
