Video shows how Hu Jintao was dragged out of the hall in China

BEIJING: A video released by Singaporean news channel CNA shows the moment before former Chinese leader Hu Jintao is dragged out of the hall in front of President Xi Jinping.

Eye brows have been raised as to why China’s former leader Hu Jintao was dragged out from the hall during the Communist Party’s closing session on Saturday.

A new video that has recently surfaced shows that the Chairman of the People’s Congress, Li Zhanshu, takes a  document from Hu and covers it with a red cover sheet.

He is seen talking to Hu, but at the same time smiling at him.

Meanwhile, Chief ideologue Wang Huning, who was sitting next to him, is seen to have been indicating with his hand that Hu should not reveal the document.

Party leader Xi Jinping then calls the security guard who later takes Hu out of the hall.

It has been speculated that Hu should keep the list covered so that the journalists present cannot photograph it.

The new video also provides no evidence that Hu’s health condition could have been the cause, as claimed by Xinhua.
