Nepal sees 29 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 29 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 21 were detected through the RT-PCR method and eight through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,730 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1,077 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 653 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 192 active cases in the country as 17 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,952 to date.
