SC hearing on NRB governor suspension to continue on Thursday

KATHMANDU: A Supreme Court hearing on the case related to the suspension of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari is to be continued on Thursday.

Governor Adhikari, who was suspended as NRB governor after the government formed an inquiry committee against him on April 9, had filed a writ petition at the court challenging the government decision.

The apex court had stayed the government’s decision until April 26.

A hearing on the case was conducted by a division bench of Justices Sapna Malla Pradhan and Tanka Bahadur Moktan today, Tuesday. However, the hearing did not conclude.

Supreme Court sources said the hearing will continue on Thursday.
