CIAA files complaint against six including a forest officer in Surkhet

SURKHET: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed a case against six persons including a forest officer and engineers on the charge of embezzling money without constructing a footpath from Jawaldhara to Kachh in Soru Rural Municipality of Mugu.

According to CIAA sources, the commission has filed corruption cases against Bharat Bahadur Budha Thapa, an officer of Division Forest Office, Mugu, Gorsingh Badhuwal, sub-engineer, Rabindra Shahi, assistant sub-engineer, Bastola Shahi, chairman of Footpath Construction Consumers Committee, Bisu Nepali secretary and Hari Bahadur Shahi treasurer of the consumer’s committee.

While probing into the embezzlement case filed against the accused people, CIAA had noticed misappropriation and fraud in the Footpath construction.
