KATHMANDU: The major political parties have fielded their candidates for the mayoral post for the Lalitpur Metropolitan City registering nominations on Monday.
Chiribabu Maharjan has registered his nomination for the mayor post representing Nepali Congress while CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Baburaj Bajracharya has been nominated for the deputy mayor post.
Similarly, Hari Krishna Byanjankar of CPN-UML has registered his candidacy for the mayor post while Manjali Shakya has posted for the deputy mayor post.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Asta Bahadur Maharjan has registered his nomination for the mayor post while Swarnim Shakya is for deputy mayor, according to District Election Officer Goma Dhamala Ghimire.
