Nepal, China ink nine instruments to enhance mutual cooperation and partnership

Nepal and China have inked nine sets of instruments to enhance mutual cooperation and partnership.

Both countries have agreed to further strengthen the cooperative relation and partnership between Nepal and China. Such an agreement was reached during the Nepal-China Foreign Minister level talks held here today.

After bilateral talks between Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka and Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, officials from both countries also signed nine sets of agreements on enhancing mutual cooperation.

Chinese Foreign Minister Yi hands over Pokhara Int’l Airport to Nepal

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has handed over China-built Pokhara Regional International Airport to Head-of-the-Government Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

In the meeting with PM Deuba, Minister Yi handed over the Pokhara Regional International Airport to the Government of Nepal. Earlier, the keys of the airport were handed over to Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka.

Local polls will be held on slated time: PM Deuba

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the local level election would be held on the slated time.

Inaugurating the reconstructed Bhimsen Temple at Patan in Lalitpur, PM Deuba shared that the government has started necessary preparations to hold the local polls on the slated time.

He further said that the incumbent government has the task of holding three-tier of election, stating that it was the need of the hour and government’s responsibility to hold elections in free and fearless environment.

No party can compete with UML: Chairman KP Oli

CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has claimed that no party can compete with his party in the forth coming election.

At a convention of the Kathmandu-based Special District Committee of the UML’s entrepreneurs wing on Saturday, Chairman Oli termed the opposition parties as ‘those with no capacity’ and said that the rival parties were terrified as they could not compete UML.

He also accused the non-UML parties of having no agenda. He criticized other parties for only exposing the UML due to lack of agenda.

Sandeep turns the second fastest player in the world to take 50 wickets

Nepali cricket team captain Sandeep Lamichhane has become the second fastest player in the world to take 50 wickets in ODIs.

In the ongoing match against Papua New Guinea played at the Tribhuvan University Stadium in Kathmandu, he took the wicket of Charles Amini in the 12th over and completed 50 wickets.

He has taken 50 wickets in 22 games.

Risk of regression still not over, says Maoist leader Shrestha

Senior leader of CPN-Maoist Center Narayankaji Shrestha has said the risk of regression in the country was not over yet.

Addressing an event organized to inaugurate the administrative building of Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality in Gorkha on Saturday, the Maoist Center leader said the threat of regression from the anti-constitution forces in the country was still in existence.

Nepal Army clinches the second Chief Minister’s Cup National Men’s Volleyball title

Nepal Army Club has clinched the title of ‘Second Chief Minister’s Cup National Men’s Volleyball Tournament’ in Dhangadhi Saturday.

In the final match between the two departmental teams, Army defeated Nepal Police Club to clinch the title.

Army defeated Police 3-1. Army won the first and second sets 25-23 and 25-20 and lost the third set 18-25. However, Army won the fourth set 25-22 and won the final.
