Nepal Army clinches the second Chief Minister’s Cup National Men’s Volleyball title

Defeats Nepal Police team by 3-1



KAILALI: Nepal Army Club has clinched the title of ‘Second Chief Minister’s Cup National Men’s Volleyball Tournament’ in Dhangadhi Saturday.

In the final match between the two departmental teams, Army defeated Nepal Police Club to clinch the title.

Army defeated Police 3-1. Army won the first and second sets 25-23 and 25-20 and lost the third set 18-25. However, Army won the fourth set 25-22 and won the final.

Winning the competition, the Army received a trophy and a medal along with a cash prize of four hundred thousand rupees. Similarly, the runner-up police received two hundred thousand rupees.

The third place team Gandaki Pradesh got one lakh and the fourth place APF got trophy and medal along with 50 thousand cash.

Minister for Social Development of the Sudur Paschim Province Lal Bahadur Dhami, Olympian Deepak Bista and others distributed trophies and prizes to the winning players and teams.
